Aerogel Studios is an initiative created to explore aesthetic, design, and cultural aspects of aerogels, the world’s lightest solid materials. The initiative aims to stimulate, aggregate, and disseminate aerogel works created by artists, architects, designers, engineers, and scientists with the goal of engendering new cultural possibilities that were previously deemed limited to the realm of science fiction. Launched by Aerogel Technologies in May 2014, Aerogel Studios brings the world’s leading aerogel artists, scientists, and engineers to help make this happen. From sculpture and photography to architectural installations and mind-bending scientific research, Aerogel Studios is a venue for all things aerogel that touch the senses.
